Pair Of Old Mexican Silver Serving Bowls

$450.00
Quantity available: 1
Very South-of-the-Border are these two tripod cups which combine design elements of the Old World with Aztec traditions. Shaped rather like braziers, the bodies are topped with a collar of paneled flutes, the feet are like upside-down lion's-paws and an acorn finial drops from below. Marks are the old Mexican spread-wing eagle tax stamp, the maker's mark (?), a purity indication of 900 and "Mexico." Early Twentieth Century. Excellent condition and heavy weight. Approximately four inches in diameter and 2-1/2 inches high.
