Pair Royal Vienna Porcelain Vases After Angelica Kauffmann

Unavailable

Our beautiful pair of Viennese porcelain lidded vases feature finely painted figural scenes on a cobalt blue ground, after Angelica Kauffmann (1741-1807).

Born in Switzerland, Kauffman was a neoclassical painter who enjoyed a successful career in Rome and London. She is known for her figurative works and landscapes, and with Mary Moser was one of only two female founding members of the Royal Academy in London (1768) and the last females to be admitted until 1922.
