Our lovely and unique pair of parcel gilt candlesticks feature cartouches on each side depicting monogram and thistle motif on royal blue basse-taille enamel grounds.  Each carries the hammered mark of a large stylized "J", or possibly "J" with letters preceeding and following, possibly "cJp".

Each 9.8 x 4.5 x 3.5 in; 24.9 x 11.4 x 8.9 cm.  Total weight of the pair:  2 lbs 2.2 oz.; 972 g.

Each in good condition.  There is obvious rubbing wear to the gilding and embedded surface grime, scratchs and slight bends.  One mounting screw is missing from the enamel plaque on one candlestick.
