Signed in the negative 'Paralta/L.A."; title and notes ((indicating the scene is from of a Fanchon & Marco production) written in pencil, verso. Paralta Studios was active in Los Angeles in the 1920s doing theatrical photography. This photograph is probably from the estate of Carroll Alexander, a theatre scenic designer who was associated with Fanchon & Marco, the largest professional dance school in Hollywood in the 1920s and 30s and prominent producers of stage shows where Joan Crawford, Dorothy LaMour, Judy Garland, Doris Day, Bing Crosby and many others started their careers.
