This oil on canvas by Paul R. Koehler (1866-1909) depicts a country path in a  wooded landscape with cloudy sky.  Stretcher measures 16 x 24 in and the modern frame measures 22 by 30 in.  Recently professionally cleaned.  Condition is excellent.  Koehler was self-taught and is known for his pastel and oil landscapes.  He was born in New York City and died in Colorado Springs.  Source: Benezit Dictionnaire Des Peintres, Sculpteurs, Dessinateurs Et Graveurs.
