Or Best OfferThis is an extremely rare, original "Joe" lounge chair made in Italy by Poltronova in the 1970s, with its original blue denin upholstery. It is in very good condition, with a modest degree of wear, consistent with age, and light soiling on the seat and seatback. There is a repair to a tear running vertically to the left of the label, and may be other small repairs. Use of flash during photography brings out the appearance of its wear, and in regular ambient light the wear is not as noticeable. Original casters are missing. Named after Joe DiMaggio, this famous model was designed in 1971 by Jonathan de Pas, Donato d' Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi. Examples reside in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and numerous other institutions around the world. Additional images forwarded upon request.
