Ponds And The Duchess of Sutherland. Ad 1955 This is a 1955 advertisement It is a nice black and white ad from Ponds of Mt. Vernon NY. Ad shows a picture of the Duchess of Sutherland, photographed against the turreted grandeur of Dunrobin Castle. Here the Duchess and her husband, the 5th Duke and 12 Baronet of Sutherland, enterain during grouse season. By the NOrth Sea in the Scottish Highlands, the Castle is very formal, with magnificient fountains and gardens. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 8 1/4 inches wide by 10 3/4 inches tall.
