This is one of the nicr pieces of mass produced porcelain items I have seen made in Japan lately. I am putting a date of late 1970's on this but am not 100% sure. This does not say "made in Japan", it just says Japan and what I believe is a makers mark, but can not deciper it. The floral design is a tranfer. I can't tell if there are any hand painted accents. It has some wear to the gold around the top edge. There are no chips or cracks. It would make a lovely addition to any ladies vanity! It weighs about 14 ounces. It measures approx. 9 1/2"X6 1/4".
