Fabulous antique Meissen art nouveau stoneware pot, c. 1900, with double, asymmetrical handles springing from the rim as branches which meet the body of the pot and become smaller branches that leaf out as they attempt to reach one another around the body of the pot. It is finished in a fabulous glossy to matte, slightly lustrous blue glaze that breaks to gold at the high points of the surface. It is in excellent condition and is marked, "Meissen", on the bottom.
