Our client's very rare antique Armenian silk embroidery on linen ground, circa 17th-18th century, attributed to the Artsakh region of the South Caucasus (modern day Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan), measures 24 by 40 inches (62 by 101 cm) and is in excellent condition.  Provenance:  Parviz Nemati, New York.

This embroidered panel in a style often misattribued to the Azarbaijan region is distinguished by its Christian cross and spinning svastika motifs, typitcal of Armenian design, as confirmed by Hratch Kozibeyokian, President of Armenian Rug Society who evaluated the piece in 2016.
