Rock Island & Pacific RR Train postcard. On the back of this postcard it reads: Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific's "The Quad City Rocket". Rock Island's "Quad City Rocket" east bound from Geneseo to Sheffield, Illinois on the morning of May 5, 1977. The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific was one of the few railroad companies still operating passenger service at the time of this photograph. Photo Courtesy: Mary Jayne Rowe. This photo does have some marks on the back from being in a photo album, does not affect the front of the card. 5 1/2"w x 3 1/2", very good condition.
