This captivating large oil painting on canvas depicts a dramatic seascape featuring a lone sailing ship navigating through turbulent ocean waves. The deep blue hues of the water contrast with the lighter tones of the sky, where a mixture of stormy clouds and a soft pink sunset create a moody and atmospheric backdrop. The ship, with its fully unfurled sails, appears to be battling against the elements, adding a sense of movement and intensity to the scene. The composition is beautifully framed by an ornate gold frame, enhancing its classical maritime appeal. Signed by the artist in the lower right corner, this masterful seascape is an excellent choice for collectors and enthusiasts of nautical artwork. Signed in the lower-right corner by Russian Artist Viktor Nikolayevich Ilyushkin (born 1946). This painting shares a strong thematic and stylistic resemblance to Ivan Aivazovsky (a famous Russian Artist and marine painter), particularly in its dramatic maritime composition, stormy atmosphere, and manner of depiction of transparent waves. Presented in a gorgeous ornate gold frame. Good condition. Framed measures 46.5" x 34", painting measures 36" x 24". Please see the photos, they are part of the description.
