Shell Oil 1945 Ad. Color May 5, 1945 ad stating Gulliver in east Chicago. Almost everything in East Chicago is normally large, buildings, streets and traffic are life sized but if you were permitted to enter one big building youd immediately feel like Gulliver in Lilliput. Everything is in miniature. Picture shows Shell Researcher adjusting pipeline valves. Magazine tear sheet picture is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall.
