Shell Research 1953 Ad. This color April 4, 1953 ad states Hooded Lightning strikes only on release. Bendix Aviation Corp. at its Scintilla Magneto Division, has developed a new and more efficient ignition system for planes. Shell Industrial Lubricants are used throughout its manufacture. Picture by Homer Hill shows Hooded Falcon setting on leather glove. In background is men on horses hunting with a falcon. Magazine tear sheet picture is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 3/4 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall.
