These lovely ornaments are strange to me. I can't remember comming across a pair of shoe ornaments with the "prongs" that these have, I would say these were made to go on fabric or something like a fabric material. The dark substance you see on the backs appears to be some sort of adhesive, maybe where a previos owner had glued them to thier shoes. It very hard and will not come off easy, so I left it alone. It in no way detracts from the beauty of the ornaments. The cast design is that of a basket weave. Scattered throughout the weave are different sized saphire blue rhinestones. They are glued in. They are unsigned. They measure approx. 1 7/8"X3/4". They are in good condition. The shipping fees quoted are for first class/No insurance in USA.
