Offering this handsome old edition of Sir Walter Scott's Waverly or 'Tis Sixty Years Since. Published by Thomas Nelson & Sons, London, Dublin, Edinburgh, and New York, 1906. Rich dark blue leather semi hardboards, good+ condition, gold gilt leaves and lettering on spine, top of page edges are also gold gilt, no spine cracks, light corner and edge wear/rubs; spine edges have small amount of chipping. Inside fly leaves are rich blue paper. Pages are thin silky India paper, very clean, no tears, no soiling, or scribbling; (exception, previous owner signed first introduction title page - not main title page; when book is closed side and bottom of page edges have some minor spotting, does not affect pages when book is open. Wonderful frontispiece illustration with tissue guard cover & there are other full page illustrations throughout, retains original ribbon marker. Leather has been applied with professional leather book creme restorer which protects the leather and keeps it subtle and soft. Measures 6 1/4 inches x 4 1/2 inches. A wonderful addition to your Scott collection! Also comes with the original cardboard box marked "SCOTT NO. 19" on the label. The box is in solid condition with some corners taped with archival tape.
