St Louis Cathedral New Orleans Postcard This is a nice color postcard from the 20th Century, of the St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Monument. The Cathedral one of the most noted landmarks in North America, was erected in 1794. The Jackson Monument unveiled in 1856 is outstanding in that the sculptur struck a perfect balance and the entire weight of the statue rests only on the hind legs of the horse.
