Stanley No. 41 Pocket Level 1890 Patent
This is a nice clean 3" long pocket level with the fancy sheet brass top plate that has the markings, "STANLEY PAT. FEB.18.90" on the top plate. The top plate is a thin sheet of brass and has been slightly bent down into the glass bubble tube slot, but looks fine as it is not even close to touching the glass tube. The level is in working order with about 50% of the black Japanning on the cast base. The level can be used on any flat surface, but was also designed to be attached to your steel square or similar thick steel ruler. The set screw is there to fasten it to your steel square, and is in good working order. A real nice level overall!
