Quantity available: 1

This is a very nice clean Stanley No. 5C (Corrugated sole) Jack plane from the early 1900's era or a type 11. This type has a very nice, original rosewood handle (tote) and short front knob that are in solid condition, with only minor wear, no chips, a few tested and tight grain separations in the front knob. This plane is in good useable condition overall with about 80% of the original black Japanning intact. The bare metal surfaces are clean, the bottom is smooth and flat. We note a small drilled hole at the toes near the BAILEY name. This plane is 14" long, with a 2.0" wide cutter. The blade is marked "STANLEY NEW BRITAN CONN. U.S.A.", with the V shaped logo. The body is marked "BAILEY NO. 5 PAT'D MAR-25-02 AUG-19-02.APR.19.10";.  The cutter is about 90% intact, sharp and ready to use. The cutter should have been marked with the SW sweetheart logo, but is a later STANLEY marking updated cutter.  We see no cracks or rust on this nice clean plane! This is a very good Stanley plane in ready to use condition!
