This is a good used adjustable block plane marked "DEFIANCE MADE IN US.A." on the cutter and MADE IN USA on the heel area.  It has about 85% black japanning intact, the rosewood knob is in great shape and the cutter is sharp and ready to use with plenty of additional stock for future resharpening.  No rust, no cracks, no damage.  Simple design, easy to adjust and use!  Size is 7" long x 1.63" wide cutter.  These were produced by Stanley from 1935 to 1953.
