This a nice clean hermaphrodite firm joint caliper marked THE L.S. STARRETT CO. ATHOL MASS. U.S.A. NO. 243. It's the 6 inch long size, about 6.4 inch long overall.  The adjustable length scribe point in very good condition overall, with very little wear to speak of, good clean metal surfaces, no rust, no owner's names.
