Offering this good used Lock-Joint Inside Calipers marked "L.S. STARRETT CO. ATHOL MASS. U.S.A. PAT. MAY 21 1885". It measures 8" long overall. It's in very good clean useable condition with a good working adjustment feature and a good thumb screw type pivot lock joint. It has 2 owner's initials on it, on one side, it has some light pitting on abut 70% of it's total surfaces, but the adjustments, and tips are in good shape for use. This is perhaps one of the more rare type calipers, due to the early patent date, and the match name to match that date, as after 1909 Starrett added "THE" before the company name. A very nice design! A very hard to find tool at this price!
