Offering this nice clean 6" Outside Thread spring calipers in very good condition, with no rust, damage, no past owner's marks on it. It is marked by the "STARRETT" It is a Starrett catalog number 79. It works just fine, with very good measurement tips, and threads for fine adjustment!  This model has the optional spring nut or speed nut that allow the user to disengage the nut threads from the main threaded shaft while taking the presure of the main spring and quickly move the nut to another position, then re-engage the nut thread once again for fine adjustment.  Comes with the bottom section of the original box.
