This is a very clean used 4.0 inch size machinist's precision solid square. Both the beam and the blade are precision ground hardened tool steel (the blade is tempted spring steel).  The blade is marked THE L.S.S.CO. ATHOL MASS. U.S.A. TEMPERED NO. 63, with inch graduations on both sides of the blade.  It's in very good condition, checks out square within about .0002", has some minor staining, no rust. Size is 4" long blade 2.75" long beam overall. There is a past owner's name on the one side of the beam.  Carefully used, A fraction of the cost of a new solid square of similar quality! Made in U.S.A.!
