This is a nice used, but well maintained flat Toolmaker's Grade A, granite, precision surface plate that measures 12 x 8".  Clearly marked by the maker "STARRETT" and also marked "GRADE A INSPECTION" on a separate side tag.  A nice small size, it's easy to move from place to place if you are inspecting small products.  One photo shows the pads on the bottom that help to keep the precision qualities of the granite.  We see no damage on this precision surface plate.  It was recently inspected and found to be within tolerance.
