Inside this glassed in case is a miniature of some vintage sheet music called The Kissing Bug which at that time was latest rag by CHas. L. Johnson who also did Iola. I just loved the old cover with the flapper headband on the brunette and when I saw it I knew she needed to be encased for all the world to see. Added to that are tiny golden wings and of course the watch gear in the center. This is a large necklace and not for the timid. The wide fancy etched chain around the neck measures 19" long and then you can add 5 1/2" for the  drop pendant. At the end of the watch fob chain is a silver fleur de lis to bring this whole era together. What is sweeter than written words in a lyric?The watch case measures 1 1/2" wide and the mesh chain links are 3/4" wide. This piece is one of a kind and has such a light and lovely charm about it that you can only imagine what was in the mind of the composer.
