Sterling Silver, Black Onyx, Marcasite Shield Necklace with a pin back. .  Features a Large Center Piece Shield type design with the stone held up by a horse shoe shape sterling rod that serves as anchor for the ornate cross pieces that are encrusted with many marcasites.  The cross pieces intersect with diamond shape bezel set onyx pieces that are graduated from small to larger. Plus the same cross pieces branch out in vines.    The center piece is 1 1/8" wide x 1.5" long and is suspended between a double  sterling chain.   It can be pinned as well.   

The drop length is 9.75"  .  The weight is 17.2 grams.  The condition is excellent.
