Louis XVI Style Center Table After Adam Weisweiler

Unavailable

Our exceptional marble top center table in the Louis XVI style, after the original design by Adam Weisweiler, measures 33.5 by 19.75 by 30.5 inches tall.  It dates from the early 20th century and is in good condition, with scratches, rubbing wear and nicks, and cracks to the veneer.

It is an exceptional copy of the table delivered by Weisweiler's primary representative, Dominique Daguerre, to Marie Antoinette at Versailles in 1784.  It may be seen in Alexandre Pradere's book, French Furniture Makers: The Art of the Ebeniste from Louis XIV to the Revolution, on page 389.
