Taintors Saw Set Pliers 1907 Pat. No. 7 Double Action

$40.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice clean old saw set in very good working condition, featuring the graduated scale markings on the adjustable angle block for setting various degrees of angles on the teeth of hand-saws. This one has a double action when you squeeze the handles together. First the lower saw guide presses against the saw blade to hold it firmly, then as you press further, the set plunger moves forward into position to set the tooth it is aligned with. All in good working condition, strong spring, good threads, the narrow plunger (.05 to .06" at contact point) is in nice shape also. Suitable for setting teeth on fine tooth saws or on finish saws. It's clearly marked "TAINTERS POSITIVE NO. 7 TAINTORS MFG. CO. NEW YORK U.S.A." there is also 5 patent numbers marked, the latest one is JULY 30, 1907. It measures a little over 6 inches long, no rust, clean, polished finish. A nice one!
