 Tappan Salt and Pepper Shakers with black feet.   Also known as little Tappy.  Tappan Advertising Promotional Porcelain Chef Salt & Pepper Shakers. These were made by the Tappan Appliance Co back in the 1940's-50's as a promotional for their stoves.   . (Tappan started making stoves in Ohio in 1881)    

 They are 2.25” long x 1.75” wide x 4” tall.

Most were made in Japan and have the red feet.   The ones here for sale have black feet.   I am not sure if this indicates that they were originals made in Ohio as I am unable to find any specific information.   However I do know that the ones that were produced in Ohio are extremely rare.  

The condition is very good  for a vintage set like this.   One cork is stuck up inside.   Plus I missed a few spots while cleaning them.    However I will clean them up better before mailing.
