Texas Capitol Night View Postcard This is a nice color, photo postcard of a night view of the State Capitol in Austin, Texas On the back it reads, The Farwell Brothers of Chicago were awarded the contract in 1882 to build the Capitol in exchange for 3,000,000 acres of land valued at 50 cents to $1.50 per acre. This land was known as the XIT Ranch and operated as such until the early 1900's. Anscochrome by Don R Bartels. Made by Dexter Press of W Nyack, NY Pub by Edward J Schramel of Austin Texas.
