Signed recto and verso by Hayes. Significantly, there is a notation on the verso 'Aviator Ed Hayes' which appears to be in the hand of Fred Archer. Hayes was probably a student of Archer's, either at the Art Center School in the 1930s or the Fred Archer School of Photography, later.
