"THE SANCTUARY" Originally painted by Sir Edward Henry Landseer (1802-1873). This is a engraving done by J. W. WATTS of the original painting done by the previous mentioned artist. James W. WATTS was a engraver from Bedford, Mass. This is a wonderful scene of a Moose in water with a flock of geese with a beautiful sunset and mountains in the background. I can just imagine how breathtaking the original painting by Landseer was. He was a extremely great and Very Well Artist in the Early 1800's. The dimension of this engraving is 28" X 13 1/4". The overall dimensions including the matting and frame is 35" X 20 1/2"
