This is a nice unusual piece. This particular piece is a very rare and very high quality vintage pounce pot or sander that was used to sprinkle an ink drying powder onto freshly written text. This was common before ink blotters where more commonly used. The lid is tight but will come off for filling. It has tiny holes on the top and works like a salt shaker. All original with no additions or repairs. Bottom states,'Tiffany & Co. Makers Sterling, 23670 L'. Buyer pays S&H.
