Top Is Off The Big Top Article And Picture 1957 This is an August 12, 1957 article with black and white picture. Says looked like end of road last summer for the Ringling Brothers circus when it closed during a tour. Beset by high costs, President John Ringling North folded the big top and called it quits. But this year the circus sprung back to life, out of doors instead of indoors. In this picture high over ball field in Washingtons Griffith Stadium girls perform aerial ballet in new rigging. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the article. This original magazine tear sheet measures 7 1/4 inches wide by 14 inches tall.
