Very Old Notre Dame stuffed felt dog. It has the original tag indicating made by Collegiate Manufacturing in Ames, Iowa and is one of the vintage College Pet animals. His name is Peppy
This little guy is about 10 inches long from the tip of his tail to his nose and about 9 inches long from back leg to the top of his head.
He is about five inches tall from his feet to the top of his head. He bears the Notre Dame gold initials of "ND" on his long floppy right ear. He is a spotted felt and stuff tight with straw,
. He has a freckled face and a dark round leather nose and brown eyes of plastic.
I think he may be from around 1940's or so.
The condition is clean.. However since it is real wool felt the moths got to him on the left ear. and a hole near his tail and along with seam line of the underside.
The moths are gone but the damage is done.
