Offering this beautiful larger size fold out valentine, circa 1920's or older; decorative cutout flap with the words Best Wishes, folds out to show a four layer decoration - first layer is a white gate with large blue floral garlands and white doves, second layer is a handsome young man dressed in a green German outfit and holding two large bouquets of roses, the third layer is a large white trellis with blue floral garlands, and the fourth layer is a large white trellis with blue flowers. Measures 7 x 4 inches, near fine condition, no holes, tears, or stains, neatly signed on back and marked Made in Germany. One small crease on the smaller bouquet in boys hand; light age toning on back side. The artwork on this one is just wonderful, all the delicate cutouts and the colors are so bright. A beautiful addition to your collection or a wonderful vintage valentine gift!
