Lovely porcelain bust of the the Virgin Mary, Madonna with her hand clasped but leaning to the side.   The bust is on a white base with the words AVE.     Standing 4.75" tall  She is marked in the bottom in red " Japan.  

The AVE refers to Ave Maria which is Latin for Hail Maria... which means Hail to the Virgin May.
