Very Old Hand Made White Bear Salt & Pepper Shakers of of unknown origin. The are 3.25" tall. They are heavy and thick walled. I first thought that they were of chalk or plaster but the substance it too hard to be either. That leads me to assume porcelain or heavily painted metal. Although I believe they are molded as there is a seam between the ears. In any event they are hand painted and very cute. The stoppers are missing however there is clear tape on the bottom serving this purpose.
