This is a very nice, clean, 21.5" long curved nose veterinary molar remover, or splitting pliers. It is marked by the maker, "BETZ" on one handle. The jaws have serations on the curved inside jaws, and it appears these jaws were design to grasp molars about 1/2 to 1" in diameter. All the metal was originally nickel plated, and about 60% remains intact. The handle tips are made of hardwood, and are in good+ condition. One handle is slightly different from the other in style, both handles are threaded at the opposite end from the wood, and will remove for storage if desired. The pivot joint is of the best design and quality, very snug, and heavy duty! A very unique tool, for a special application, could possibly be used as a crimping tool as well. A quality made tool!
