Victorian Man in the Moon locket necklace with real pearls and nymph print inside

 

here is something so mystical about the man in the moon and it always seems to be associated with harmony. A charming Chinese legend speaks of the man in the Moon who secures the destiny of lovers by uniting them with an invisible, silken cord, which he ties around their waist. At the time they are destined to meet and fall in love, he draws the cords together. This vintage locket measures 2" long and hangs from a copper long linked deco chain. The connector that holds it on has two real baroque pearls and one tiny purple sparkling rhinestone. The chain measures 28" long with an extra drop of 3" (includes the connector and locket) . INside the locket is an old print of a bohemian girl with flowers in her hair which reminds me of the nymphs that dance around the fields on a full moon.
