Agate is a relatively inexpensive stone except for some varieties with unusual banded or scenic markings. THese vintage sterling ( marked on the screw backs) have what look like horizons with mountains in the background. Used in many victorian and Scottish pieces,Agate provides a calming influence, improves perception, concentration and helps to develop and increase one's analytical talents.They measure 3/4" across and have not been polished or cleaned.
