Victorian Tortoise MOP Pietra dura Brooch sterling chandelier signed PGG mexico

Also called Frozen mosaic, this tortoise and mother of pearl brooch is made of sterling and is marked 925 Hechi en mexixo sterling pgg. It is like a little piece of art with the rich colors of the mother of pearl that flare out against the tortoise. The brooch weighs 9.2 grams and is in great condition. Really well made this brooch has a lot of highly ornate detail to the metal work. Not to mention the mosaic. This measures 2 3/4" long and is probably one of a kind since all the mosaics could not be replicated.
