Vintage 1920's necklace Loaded with Fringe and religious medal and crucifix

 

This necklace dates in the 1920's or before and is made with some very ornate chain and double layers of chain mail. Add to that this religious pendant you have a one of a kind fabulous dramtic large necklace. There are two opalite drops that have a purple cast to them when the light hits and they are gorgeous!. An old center piece enamel miraculous medal holds the beautiful opalite and a large faux pearl. The vintage cross might be sterling, but is not marked. Each of the long fringes are actually double chains that are intertwined ( see photo) and they connect to this very fancy brass chain. The fringe necklace is all original except for the drop that was added with the miraculous medal.   They make a perfect pair! The necklace measures 15" long and the longest piece on the bib is 4 1/2".
