Vintage / antique platter in the Meadow Goldenrod pattern from the Homer Laughlin China Company's Virginia Rose line, produced 1937 - 1953. This piece features two sprigs of goldenrod and pink and violet daisies on an off-white background. It has sculpted edges with raised designs, and measures approximately 1 inch high, 11 5/8 inches wide, and 8 3/4 inches deep. Stamped on the back in dark blue is "HOMER LAUGHLIN, VIRGINIA ROSE, MADE IN U.S.A., E 47 N 8". This platter is in very good condition for its age. There is some glaze crazing by the large sprig, a small surface hairline in the glaze on the back, very small areas of discoloration, light surface wear, and typical factory imperfections.
