Vintage / antique number 8 cast iron bean pot / kettle, with wire handle and lid. The bean pot measures about 10 5/8 inches in diameter, not including the handles. The inside dimensions of the pot are about 10 1/4 inches in diameter and 3 3/4 inches deep. The pot weighs about 11 1/2 pounds, including the lid. There is an "8.0" impressed under the center handle on the lid and an "8" followed by an arrow impressed on the bottom of the pot near the edge. The inside of the lid is dimpled. The pot and lid are in very good condition, intact with no damage. There is some surface discoloration and oxidation, and the pot could benefit from a good cleaning and polishing.
