Vintage Art Deco Ring Marcasites and london blue glass center

 

This 1920's art deco sterling and marcasite ring has an large faceted london blue glass stone center. The setting is quite large ( 1" long) and has detailed underwork. The ring is a size 6 1/2" and has good weight to it. Inside the band it is marked sterling. Not a reproduction, this comes from an era when art deco rings were elegant and simple with hidden sparkles that made you think you were wearing diamonds ( the marcasites). This is such a beautiful blue that stands out because it is open backed to catch the light. Layers of tiny marcasites create a border that is just stunning.
