Vintage Persian Silver Hand Painted Mother of Pearl Inlay Small Hand Mirror & Mirror Pill Box

This beautiful small hand mirror and pill box set look like they are made of a silver metal. The mirror is 2-1/2" in diameter, with a 3" spiral handle, and there is some discoloration of the glass. The back has a punch work design around the outside and has a mother of pearl inlay 1-1/2" in diameter with a hand painted picture of polo players, an ancient Persian sport. It has been covered in a shellac type substance, some of which has flaked off. The pill box is 1-3/4" in diameter, with a hand painted scene on the mother of pearl inlay similar to the mirror. The side of the pillbox also has a punch work design around it, and the inside of the lid has a mirror which is in good condition. This set would be a wonderful addition to the collector of pillboxes, small hand mirrors and/or vanity sets.
