Solid Vintage Brass Paperclip Style Letter or Note Clip .    This one is an oldie.   Stands 5 inches tall.   The lower loop is bent out a bit that is how it is suppose to be and non damage.     There is very old felt lining the bottom of the base.   There is some tarnish here and there... but it is still really cool.
