Vintage COBALT PORTRAIT Locket necklace Victorian antique jewelry Czech glass beads Victorian French beauty

This is a rarity indeed with the poured Czech glass beads ( no two beads are identical) and this amazing Victorian portrait locket. The cobalt in all the pieces is rich and fit for royalty. The beads are lumpy in shape because each bead is hand done and not cast in a mold where were would be seams. Poured glass is hard to find and when you do it is usually exquisite and rich in color. The beads graduate up to a little over ½" long and between them are floral bead caps. The larger brass filigree beads are gorgeous and they really set off this magnificent cobalt locket. The woman on the front appears to be French and there is black enameling between the ribs of the gilt brass locket. The locket opens on the back and the clasp works well. The necklace is 17" long with an additional 2" for this fancy portrait locket. This is quite a wonderful antique piece and I hope it gets a good home.
